Gorsey Brow
Gorsey Brow is a 1900 stone cottage. Our customers wanted to bring it into the 21st century with a full kitchen and bathroom renovation, consisting with some structural building work also.
Floors were uneven, walls weren’t straight but it all added to the character of this property.
Our customers chose to put in a modern kitchen, with stylish concrete effect doors with copper and wooden accents.
This project was so much fun for us, we were so excited to get our teeth into such a big project. It didn’t come without it’s problems though, from rotten floor boards, to rotten lintels, leaking roofs and that’s just to name a few.
In the kitchen, we took the kitchen and dining room back to brick and pulled down the ceilings as well. We supplied and installed the structural beam and removed the wall which was original to the house. Once we had taken down the wall we knew how amazing this space would look.
In the bathroom, as with the kitchen we ripped everything out and took the room back to brick. What was a lovely surprise was to find behind the tiles, another wall of tiles! We also found the ceiling was also fake and we gained about 2ft extra height.
The finished product of both rooms was amazing. Our customer chose a design that worked with the space, looked modern but also inkeeping with the traditional property.

For this project we took care of everything, from structural engineer, supplying and installing support beam, all electrics, all plumbing, all joinery and installation, decoration and tiling. As well as project managing the whole project as well.
We loved this project and we’re so happy that our customers were pleased too.
