Hyde Road
We had one quite simple brief from this customer, and it was space! She wanted a big open space, with lots of work surface. Our customer did a lot of cooking and even taught Chinese cooking classes, so we knew when she said she needed space she certainly meant it.
What started out and a boring, small, dated kitchen at the front of the house, and a living room at the back, turned into one big massive kitchen diner and living area.
Our full project management of the renovaton started with a structural engineer to make sure the walls we were about to remove weren’t load bearing, which luckily they weren’t so we could open up the space with no beams or support posts.
We removed the walls, took care of the plumbing to remove radiators and add new. All the electrics were taking care of to allow for the new appliances as well. We then replastered the entire room and unless you knew you’d never know it was 3 seperate spaces before.
Our customer wanted a design in keeping with the modern property so opted for our very popular handless range, with our silver alumininum rail. We contrasted the colours with a mixture of Dove and Dust Grey acrylic slab doors. All finished off with a compact laminate worktop. We also added a couple of bespoke floating shelves which compliment the design perfectly.
The space was completed with tiled wood effect tiles on the floor, a bespoke bench seating area with storage and a dining table made by the very talented Betty’s Interiors which was finished off with worktop we had left over.
The whole room is absolutely stunning and as always finished to the highest of standards. We love this space and we love even more to see how well it was used at Chinese New Year, check out the video!
